If you attended GDC or WonderCon in San Francisco in late February you probably left with all your nerd thirsts satisfied, not to mention a piqued interest in the Nintendo DS game Professor Layton and the Curious Village. On the coattails of a TV and
online advertising push, Nintendo blanketed the Moscone Center, both inside and out, with effective awareness efforts.

Floor clings were littered all along major walkways at the Moscone Center, even outside on neighboring streets. If those didn't catch your attention, branded segway brand representatives and mobile billboards circled the main streets surrounding the event, stopping occasionally in high-traffic areas. Banners were also draped from the high convention center ceilings, all leading to the booth in the heart of the WonderCon show floor. At the booth, attendees were able to interact with the Reactrix projection and learn more about the game by talking with a sales-team representative.

With the mobile industry advancing economically and technologically, it is, suffice it to say, eating a chunk out of the entertainment industry as a whole. Whether it's
mobile games or the device itself, there are a few things happening in the
industry that just might change the way you think about your cell phone, and
that may have implications for your PS3.

In honor of the insanely popular TV show, CBS and Gameloft will be releasing CSI: The Mobile Game. Rather than just a simple thumb-cramping version of a console game, this version will be tasking players with interactivity previously unseen in a cell-phone game. Players will be able to receive phone calls with investigation tips and be title, uses the speaker in the Wii remote to deliver story via an in-game cell phone. Now that we have Skype-capable PSP systems, what will be the next innovation for mobile gaming? With innovations like these and the current state of technology, it seems like we are at the beginning of true next-generation
gaming experiences.
